Delete your Gleich account

Gleich is made by Kessel Apps UG (haftungsbeschränkt). This page explains how to delete your Gleich account and what happens to your data.

Delete it in the app

On iPhone and on Android: on your plans list, open Settings, then tap Delete account and confirm.

Deletion happens at once and cannot be undone.

You do not need the app. Write to info@kesselapps.de with the subject "Delete my Gleich account", and tell us:

whether you signed in with Apple (iPhone) or with Google (Android);
the email address you signed in with, if you know it (on iPhone it may be an Apple relay address);
your display name in Gleich;
the title of a plan you are in, and who hosts it, if you can.

We write back to make sure the account is yours before we delete it. Once we are sure, we delete it and tell you.

your account, your Apple or Google identifier and your email address, and your display name everywhere except the short record below;
your sign-in sessions and the push addresses for notifications; when you delete in the Android app, it also asks Google to delete its Firebase installation;
the plans you host, with everything in them;
in other people's plans: your memberships, your bring lines and your requests to join;
your blocks, both ways.

If you signed in with Apple, our server also asks Apple to end Gleich's access to your Apple ID.

A short record of the deletion, for 90 days, to look into problems: when it happened, your display name, whether you signed in with Apple or Google, and how many plans and list items the account had. Then it is deleted.
Costs and "paid" marks in other people's plans, so that nobody else's share changes. They no longer show your name or your identifier. They are deleted with that plan, once both its meeting time and the day it was made are more than 90 days past, or earlier if its host cancels it.
A request you let in through your link stays in that plan, without your identifier, until the plan is deleted.
Items you added to a list in someone else's plan stay, without your name; the items you bought are deleted.
The plan's member list keeps naming you, marked as gone, until the host's app next updates it, or the plan is deleted.
Reports about you or by you: kept until 180 days after they were filed, but from your deletion on they name neither account.
Backups: we copy the database every night and keep each copy for up to 16 days. Your data is gone from the backups at the latest 16 days after it is deleted here.
Daily totals, such as how many plans were made. They name nobody.
One line in our server's log with your account's identifier, until the log is overwritten.

Your live location is never stored, so there is none to delete.
